The intense, natural flavour of sweet, ripe tomatoes and a delicate, sieved texture – a classic base for Italian dishes. Its versatility allows you to use the passata as a standalone pasta sauce, or as a base to enrich with your favourite vegetables (aubergine, courgette, peppers) and herbs (basil, oregano, rosemary).

Usage

Tomato sauce for classic Italian dishes: pasta (spaghetti, penne, fusilli), pizza, lasagne, gnocchi, tomato risotto. A base for meat sauces (Bolognese, ragù), stewed vegetables (caponata, ratatouille), soups (gazpacho, minestrone) and roasts. Vegan, gluten-free.

Directions

The sauce is ready to use. It can be heated and served with pasta or used as a base for sauces – sauté with onion, garlic and extra virgin olive oil, add herbs (basil, oregano), and season with salt and pepper. Once opened, store in the fridge and use within 3–4 days.
